The two students, from Class 4 and Class 11, were identified as patients on Saturday. The school is located in south Delhi's diplomatic enclave Chanakyapuri.

Teacher Anjali Bali said: "After two of our students tested positive for swine flu, the school authorities consulted the doctors and decided to close it for a week. We have informed the parents."

The school first sent SMSes to parents on Saturday informing them about the two cases and asking them to await further instructions regarding its closure. On Sunday, parents were told that the school will be shut until August 17 as a precaution.

"We don't want the infection to spread in the school. It's best to nip the problem in the bud," Bali said.

Earlier, a Class 6 girl of the school was suspected to be down with swine flu Thursday. The school then said it would remain closed till Monday. However, she tested negative for the virus Friday.
