In good news for students, the Delhi Technological University increased its intake in B Tech programmes by 15% from the coming academic session, taking the total number of seats to 1,880.

The university has added 221 seats to its Computer Engineering programme and increased 25 seats in the Information Technology discipline. (HT File)

“The university has added 221 seats to its Computer Engineering programme and increased 25 seats in the Information Technology discipline,” an official statement said.

Over and above, 12 seats have been added in the NRI/ PIO quota through direct admission of students abroad (DASA).

Formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering, DTU was upgraded to a University in 2009.

Currently, the university has a student strength of 1,622 enrolled in over 15 disciplines in its B Tech programme and 608 students enrolled in its M Tech programme in 22 disciplines.

The disciplines on offer include Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Automobile Engineering, Polymer Science and Chemical Technology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Bio-Technology, Environmental Engineering and Engineering Physics.
