A youth, who was absconding after allegedly murdering a 17-year-old girl and her mother was arrested, police said on Monday.

The women were murdered as they had objected to him and his friend urinating in front of their house in south Delhi.

Mohd Javed, the main accused, was apprehended from near Humayun's Tomb on Saturday.

His associate Zaki had surrendered in a UP court on November 20, 2012, a day after he and Javed shot Binno and her mother Sadmani in Nizamuddin.

The incident occurred when the girl’s mother Sadmani noticed their neighbours Javed and Zaki urinating in front of their house and raised an objection, leading to an argument between them, police said.

During investigations, it came to light that both the men had previous criminal records.
