Chikungunya is yet to subside in the city despite the onset of winters, though dengue cases are on a decline.

As against 70 cases of Chikungunya reported last year, 100 people have tested positive for Chikungunya fever this year.

“Last year, we had 70 cases of Chikungunya. But this year, it is 100. We are taking all precautionary steps to prevent mosquito breeding and have advised people to keep their surroundings clean,” MCD’s Public Health Committee chairman V K Monga said.
