Three people, including two judges, were reported to be suffering from dengue fever.

According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), dengue mosquitoes have been found breeding in the area. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Municipal Heath Officer N.K. Yadav said, “I have heard about it but need to check it with the area inspector.”

When this reporter visited the court complex, large patches of stagnant water, with mosquito breeding in them, were found in the residential area of the court complex.

According to sources, several complaints were made to Public Works Department (PWD) officials about the poor drainage system in the area.

However, nothing changed till two judges and a driver of one of the judges fell ill, reportedly due to dengue fever. According to sources, the court complex has a state-of-the-art drainage system, to prevent waterlogging during the rainy season.

“We have been instructed not to share the problems at the court complex with media persons,” said a judge on condition of anonymity.

A source said that for nearly seven months, the inauguration of the court complex was delayed, citing brushing up of drainage and other infrastructure related problems.
