'Did not interfere with PF scam trial'

In an affidavit filed before the Supreme Court, Gupta said he held the apex court in the highest esteem and tendered a "sincere" and "unqualified apology" if it found any act of his as interfering with the administration of justice. The special bench of SC will consider Gupta's affidavit on Wednesday.

Gupta has explained the reasons for holding a closed door meeting with the CBI counsel on July 30, 2010 in his chamber. He, however, added that the talk with the agency officials and lawyer wasn't meant to interfere with the on-going trial in the case.
