A day after he called for the Prime Minister to be brought under the purview of the proposed lokpal, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh did a U-turn on Monday, saying he would go with the views of the party and those of the drafting panel.

"My stand is the same as that of the party. Let the lokpal drafting committee decide. I will go with that decision and the decision of the party," he told reporters when asked about his statement on Sunday.
The Congress general secretary had also talked about the bill covering judiciary, NGOs and industrial houses.
The Congress has opposed the civil society members' proposal to bring the prime minister and judiciary in the ambit of the proposed anti-corruption watchdog.
The government is of the view that such a provision would lead to undermining the office of the Prime Minister.
