BJP councillors on Friday led a march from MCD headquarter Civic Centre to Union home minister P Chidambaram’s office in North block, demanding Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit’s resignation.
Leader of the MCD House Subhash Arya said a memorandum has been submitted asking for a CBI inquiry into the matter.
“As you know that Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Report on Commonwealth Games scam has indicted Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. It is all the more serious as the indictment has come close on the heels of Shunglu Committee Report. When such committees indict someone and hold them responsible for irregularities, that person has no moral right to stay in power. If such a person does not resign, then the government should dismiss the person,” states the memorandum.
BJP councillors further claimed that a CBI inquiry should be conducted in all the CWG projects.
