'Donate clothes for homeless'

Ashray Adhikar Abhiyan, an NGO that runs night shelters in the city for the Delhi government, has launched a campaign to collect warm clothes for thousands of homeless living on streets.

The 'Save the Lives Campaign’ has been launched for the year 2010-11. The winter months make lives of the homeless in Delhi more traumatic as they do not have any warm clothes to protect them.

Sanjay Kumar, operations head of the NGO, said: “The homeless constitute the excluded group. It becomes the responsibility of the large civil society to create a caring city where all citizens live in a dignified manner”
