Drizzle in some parts and a clear sky greeted the Delhiites this morning even as slight rise in temperatures brought some respite to the capital reeling under a spell of cold.

A day after dense fog and cold threw normal life out of gear affecting air and rail services, visibility improved and was recorded at 600 metres at 5.30 am as compared to the season's lowest of 50 metres in New Delhi on Saturday, the Met Department said.
Winds further blew away the fog towards later part of the morning and the visibility improved to 800 metres at 10.30 am.
The mercury also rose to 9.5 degrees Celsius as against Saturday's minimum of 8.4 degrees Celsius. The minimum on Friday was recorded at 6.6 degrees.
A thick blanket of fog yesterday had thrown rail and air traffic out of gear and weather officials had attributed the intense fog to condensation.
However, the foggy conditions are likely to continue, with the weatherman forecasting fog in the morning and mainly clear sky in the later part of the day.
