The excise department cracked down on a company, Peacock Home Appliances, that manufactured and sold modular kitchen equipment without paying excise duty.

The team seized unsold goods worth Rs 2.86 crore, Indian currency worth Rs 107 crore and US $11,750 from the factory office in Narela, the residence of the company director in Ghaziabad.
