Fashion designer beaten up for protesting wrong parking

A Delhi-based fashion designer was roughed up on Tuesday for asking a man to move his wrongly parked car out of the way.

Jattinn Kochhar said he was attacked for asking a man to move his wrongly parked car.

The attacker, along with his family, beat up 43-year-old Jattinn Kochhar and also snatched his car keys.

According to Kocchar, the incident took place when he had gone to fetch his children from their tuitions around 5pm. He parked his car at the parking, only to find another car blocking its way later.

“The driver was standing right beside his car so I asked him to remove his car and told him that it was wrongly parked. But he refused to respond to my request after which I somehow managed to squeeze my car out,” Kochhar said.

Kocchar said that when he was about to drive away, the driver of the other car angrily told him: “Your car is out. What was the need to create a fuss?” to which he replied that the man’s car was blocking the way and was creating a nuisance for all the residents.

Kochhar sustained injuries on his neck and the side of his face.

“At least two or three times during the tiff, he told me ‘tu jaanta nahi main kaun hoon’ (you don’t know who I am),” Kocchar alleged.

According to him, when the fight intensified the man took his car keys and drove away.

The victim later also alleged on his Facebook page that despite filing a complaint at the police station, no action had been taken.
