Fire at Games construction site; no one injured

Fire broke out at an under-construction Commonwealth Games stadium in north Delhi on Thursday evening, police said.

Fire broke out at an under-construction Commonwealth Games stadium in north Delhi on Thursday evening, police said. The fire broke around 7.30 pm on Thursday at Raghubir stadium — an under construction rugby stadium near Delhi University. Six fire tenders were rushed and the fire was brought under control. Further investigations were on.

According to preliminary reports, PVC sheets which were installed at a height of about 45 feet at the construction site had caught fire, they said.
