Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee will meet industry captains in the last week of June in a bid to calm down fears among investors.
With the government failing to push the long-pending pension bill at Thursday's cabinet meeting, he wants to reassure industry leaders that economic reforms haven't gone haywire.
Many industrialists had blamed the sluggish growth on a policy paralysis within the government.
