Get ready to shell out hefty fines from next week if you are caught parking on any of the city's busy arterial roads.

The Delhi Police have come with a list of 60 city roads on which they would keep an eye and launch a crackdown against vehicles that are parked on them. The new initiative, an attempt to keep the roads from free for traffic, will see policemen imposing a fine of Rs 600 - as against the existing Rs 100 - on any one found flouting norms.
According to traffic police, a draft regarding the new rule would formally be signed and notified by the Delhi government on Monday or Tuesday.
Some roads included on the list include Max Muller Road between Lodi Garden and Lodi Road, Mathura Road between West Point and Delhi Zoological Park, entire C-Hexagon, Kamla Nagar Market, Azadpur Mandi road between Jahangirpuri metro station, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, Press Enclave Road between Khirki Village and Hauz Rani, Nelson Mendala Marg in front of malls in Vasant Kunj, Raja Garden between Kukreja Hospital and Najafgarh Road.
