Garden tourism festival begins in city

Gardening enthusiasts flocked to the Garden of Five Senses for the 26th Garden Tourism Festival on Friday.

Inaugurated by Delhi transport minister Ramakant Goswami, the opening day of the three-day festival witnessed the foundation laying ceremony of the Labna Arch, a symbol of art and architecture left behind by the Mayans which, according to a Delhi Tourism official, will stand as a testimony to years of artistic, political and economic exchanges between India and Mexico.

Jaime Nualart, Mexican Ambassador to India, was also present at the function.
