Ninety-two per cent of the total stage-four head and neck cancer cases treated at east Delhi's Dharamshila Cancer Hospital over the past seven years are currently leading a cancer-free life.

The cure rate is 97% for those who are diagnosed in early stages of the disease, according to data provided by the hospital to celebrate 17 years of its journey into cancer care on Friday.
"While reviewing the outcome in the last 17 years, we are delighted to find our results comparable to the international standards," said Dr S Khanna, executive director, Dharamshila.
The hospital has state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facility, provides palliative care, rehabilitation and research facilities.
"It is our responsibility to not only rehabilitate the person physically but functionally as well," said Dr Anshuman Kumar, surgical oncologist at the hospital.
