Four robbers held hostage the manager and other staff of a finance company in east Delhi on Tuesday and fled with cash and gold.

While the robbers took away Rs1.15 lakh in cash, the total value of the gold couldn't be ascertained as the company officers were still calculating it.
Though the exact figure is yet to be reached at, the staff said it could be in crores.
The incident took place at The Muthoot Financiers in Pandav Nagar around 1:30pm.
Police said there were no guards and no CCTVs on the premises of the company, which had its office on the first floor of a building.
Only four staff members, including bank manager KC Kanujia, were present in the office when the robbers struck.
"First a man wearing a headgear entered the bank posing as customer. The manager guided them to the reception after which three more entered and held the staff hostage at gun point," said a senior police officer.
The robbers first collected the cash and then forced the staff to open the lockers. "They put the gold from the lockers in two bags and fled," the officer added. They took a bag from the manager to put the gold in.
"No one saw these men entering the office and the lack of CCTVs has made the investigation difficult. Since the robbers were not masked, we are trying to get their sketches made," the officer said.
Police said the robbers were there for around 15 minutes, while one of their accomplices guarded the entrance. The robbers cut the wire of the alarm on their way out.
A case of robbery has been registered at Mandavli police station.
