Government should deal with non-performing assets: apex court

The Supreme Court today said the recovery of mounting non-performing assets was beyond its jurisdiction and the government and the legislature should deal with it.

The apex court bench of Justices JM Panchal and AK Patnaik said this while disposing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by an NGO Common Cause.
