The camp was organised at Hindu Rao hospital to ensure that differently-abled students do not have to run from pillar to post to get the certificate for seeking admission under the quota meant for the disabled.

Social welfare minister Kiran Walia inaugurated the camp and distributed 63 such certificates. Earlier, disability certificates were issued by different hospitals causing a lot of difficulties to the students seeking these certificates for their admission.

Fifteen doctors of different disciplines were appointed at the camp for carrying out tests before issuance of the certificates.

DU has about 600 seats reserved for disabled students in different disciplines.
