The Delhi government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that work in unauthorised colonies begins soon. On Tuesday, urban development minister Arvinder Singh said that they had granted permission to start development work in 91 more unauthorized colonies that are located on or near forest land or the Ridge area or in the vicinity of centrally protected monuments.

"The urban development department has given the green signal and also issued a list of 91 unauthorised colonies for regularization. Also, we have decided to immediately start development work in these colonies. The decision was made keeping in view the clearance received from all agencies and departments," said Singh.
He added that earlier, developmental work was not undertaken in these colonies due to lack of regularization.
