Reservation: Provided that not less than fifty percent of the members of Lokpal shall be from among the persons belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes, women and minorities.

Opposed: BJP and Shiv Sena saying including minorities was against the basic spirit of the Constitution which does not allow reservation on religious lines.
Supported: Congress, SP, RJD, BSP, DMK, Left parties and Trinamool Congress saying it was within the Constitutional framework and everyone should be included in fight against corruption
Lokayukta: One law to set up Lokpal at central level and lokayuktas in the states.
Opposed: BJP, AIADMK, DMK, TDP, Biju Janata Dal saying it will disturb the federal structure and trample the right of the states to frame laws. Having Lokayukta in a Central law will mean existing Lokayukta laws will have to be scrapped.
Supported: Congress said the issue can be taken up when the bill is taken up for discussion next week.
