Justice Gita Mittal advanced the hearing after Senior advocate Rajiv Sawhney, counsel for the group of doctors, sought adjournment of the hearing saying they were trying to sort out the dispute amicably and need some more time for resolution.

"Both of you should look after interests of the patients," she said.

The matter was to come up for hearing on Thursday after the doctors moved the high court on Wednesday for setting up a three-member committee to run the hospital.

Trehan has also filed an application for impleading himself as a party to the case. The doctors in their application sought a stay on transfer and termination of their services.
