HC pulls up 12 Blueline owners

The Delhi HC on Tuesday issued notices to the state government and owners of 12 Blueline buses whose speed governors were tampered with after they were given fitness certificates, reports Harish V Nair.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the state government and owners of 12 Blueline buses whose speed governors were tampered with after they were given fitness certificates.

The notices were sent on a petition seeking prosecution of the bus owners for violating the Supreme Court order making speed governors a must. The plea was based on an HT report on August 2 highlighting the violations. The government and the owners are to submit their replies on September 23.
