The state level committee of Jawahar Lal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission gave its nod to six new housing projects for slum dwellers on Friday.

The decision, said senior government officials, was taken in a meeting headed by chief minister Sheila Dikshit. Officials said 20,520 five-storeyed dwelling units will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs1,139 crore.
