Husband kills wife, consumes acid

A 68-year-old woman, Pushpa, was allegedly murdered by her mentally-disturbed husband, Brijmohan, 78, in northwest Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area, police said on Saturday.

Police said Brijmohan, used a sharp object to murder Pushpa before consuming acid. He was rushed to the Bara Hindu Rao hospital.

“Though he has been declared unfit to give a statement, he has told one of his five children about the incident. Before consuming acid, he had told his children not to enter their room,” DCP (northwest) Meenu Chaudhary said. A case has been filed. htc
