Illegal banquet hall demolished

Cracking down on illegal constructions, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Thursday demolished parts of a banquet hall that was being built illegally. Located at Mahipalpur, the banquet hall was adding some rooms without due permission. HT reports.

Cracking down on illegal constructions, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Thursday demolished parts of a banquet hall that was being built illegally. Located at Mahipalpur, the banquet hall was adding some rooms without due permission.

Officials of South Corporation said that the municipal body has demolished parts of 27 properties in the past one week.

The demolition drive has been carried out by the building department with the help of the police. An official said action has been taken against properties located in areas such as Malviya Nagar, Paryavaran Complex, Devli, Sultanpur, Bhati, DLF Farms Chhatarpur, Krishna Park, Khanpur, Lado Sarai, SJ Enclave, Green Park and Arjun Nagar. Two properties have been sealed.

On Wednesday, demolition action was taken against three properties in Savitri Nagar.
