‘Initiated many projects this year’

With the current financial year drawing to a close, Delhi government said it has initiated several infrastructure projects and allocated money for their timely completion.

With the current financial year drawing to a close, Delhi government said it has initiated several infrastructure projects and allocated money for their timely completion.

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit said in three quarters of 2011-2012, her government has spent Rs 9,250 crore on projects such as Signature bridge at Wazirabad, phase 3 of Delhi Metro, multilevel car parkings, bus depots, development of a new haat, hospitals, 47,000 houses for rehabilitation of JJ clusters among others.

“In nine months of this fiscal, we have spent 65% of total planned outlay of Rs 14,200 crore,” she said.
