The magisterial inquiry into the recent stampede in a government school in the capital has blamed the school authorities for the tragic incident in which five girls had lost their lives.

Top official sources said that the magisterial inquiry report has "categorically" blamed the school authorities for the stampede in the Khajuri Khas school and indicated that strong action would be taken against those responsible for the incident.
They said the Deputy Director of Education of North-east Delhi may also face action over the incident.
Five girls were killed and 34 other students injured in the stampede in the school on September 10 when they were trying to make their way up and down a staircase after being asked to shift classrooms during an examination.
Deputy Commissioner of North-East Delhi T C Nakh, who was asked by Delhi Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna to conduct a magisterial probe into the stampede, had submitted the report to the government on September 18.
