Jaitley call case: police looking for Noida man

The special cell of Delhi police is looking for a Noida-based friend of Arvind Dabas, the arrested Delhi police constable.

The special cell of Delhi police is looking for a Noida-based friend of Arvind Dabas, the arrested Delhi police constable.

Investigations revealed the involvement of this person for allegedly seeking call detail records of Arun Jaitley, leader of opposition in the RS.

Sources said this Noida-based man, whose identity has not been disclosed yet, had introduced himself to Dabas as a party worker and had assured help in securing possession of a property in Uttarakhand he (Dabas) had recently purchased.

The same person had reportedly given Jaitley's mobile number to Dabas. Investigators, however, are tight-lipped and are terming the entire issue a freelance effort of the arrested detectives, with no political involvement.

Dabas and three private detectives were arrested one after the other for allegedly procuring Jaitley's call records.
