Journalism students protest killing

A protest against the murder of television journalist Soumya Vishwanathan was held at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi, HT reports.

A protest against the murder of television journalist Soumya Vishwanathan was held at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi.

The protest was organised by students, who blamed the authorities for not making roads safe for women. They stopped traffic outside their institute for about 15 minutes.

They also lit candles in front of Soumya's picture.

Students from English Journalism, Hindi Journalsim and Radio Journalism department took part in the protest.
