Twenty-nine judicial officers from Uttar Pradesh were on Saturday awarded certificates on their successful completion of a management skill programme at the Army Institute of Management and Technology in Noida.

Allahabad high court chief justice Ferdino Inacio Rebello awarded the certificates to the officers. Eight of them are additional judges, while others hold appointments of civil judges in the district courts, registrars and other judicial appointments.
This is the first set of judges from among about 1,000 judicial officers who would undergo similar week-long programmes over the next two years.
Besides the chief justice, the ceremony was attended by the director of Institute of Judicial Training and Research, Lucknow, VK Mathur and chairman of the army institute, major general Manvender Singh.
The training included imparting knowledge about managing human resources of the judiciary and utilisation of IT for effective handling of the litigation and pending cases.
