Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi on Monday held a meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner YS Dadwal to discuss various security related issues.

Kalmadi raised his concern about security arrangements being made for the safety of the OC's assets during the conduct of the games, sources said.
"All the arrangements have been made and there is nothing to worry. Delhi Police is ready to handover the Games venues to the OC," the police chief was quoted as saying by an official present at the meeting.
According to the official, Dadwal gave a detailed presentation regarding security arrangements made for the CWG venues and the athletes.
"Ten out of the 17 venues have been cleared from the security point of view and can be given to the OC anytime this week, while rest of the venues will be handed over to the committee by next week," an official said.
The 14-day mega sporting extravaganza will kickstart from October 3 in New Delhi.
