Sushil Kumar, a data entry operator associated with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is now the brand ambassador of the Centre's Rs 40, 000-crore scheme.

Kumar hailing from Motihari in East Champaran, Bihar shot to fame when he became the first Indian to have won Rs 5 crore on a TV show - Kaun Banega Crorepati.
On Monday, the ministry of rural development named Kumar as the brand ambassador of the programme.
Minister Jairam Ramesh said Kumar is a good example of efficient young men who contributed to the MGNREGA.
"A data operator with MNREGA, Kumar is a better person to speak about the scheme. The government will make use of him in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP and MP to highlight the impact of NREGA on the rural masses," Ramesh said.
