The six-year-old kidnapped son of a hi-profile south Delhi jeweller has come back home safe. Two days ago, he had been kidnapped from near his house in south Delhi’s New Friends Colony reportedly for a ransom of Rs1 crore.

The child was dropped outside his house around 2 am by his abductors who are still to be identified, police sources said. Police claim the abductors buckled to the efforts and investigation being made to rescue the child. A case of kidnapping for ransom has already been registered at New Friends Colony (NFC) police station and efforts are being made to nab the kidnappers.
“The boy was abducted on Tuesday around 5.30 pm from a park in his neighbourhood where he had gone to play cricket with his domestic help, Saroj. Saroj had gone to fetch the ball, And, when he returned with the ball, he found the child missing.
Also, he had noticed a smartly dressed youth, who had been watching the six-year-old play, taking him in a white car,” said a senior police officer.
The boy’s parents are divorced and he lives with his mother.
