Dikshit addressed over 100 participating student delegates from 22 countries and urged them to forget the political boundaries between them to truly become a global entity. She added that in the civilized world that we claim to live in, we can never truly progress without having an equal platform for both men and women.

Other eminent speakers at the inaugural session of the summit on the subject of women's empowerment were justice Leila Seth, Ashok Pratap Singh, president, Board of Trustees, and Lata Vaidyanathan, principal of Modern School, Barakhamba Road.
