Light fog continues to engulf Delhi; 34 trains delayed, air traffic unaffected

Fog continued to engulf Delhi on Tuesday as 34 trains arriving into the city were delayed, while seven trains were rescheduled. Air traffic, however, remained unaffected.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said visibility at Palam airport at 5.30am on Tuesday was around 600 metres.

In the last two weeks, over 100 trains have been delayed due to weather conditions. Officials say the trains are not delayed and rescheduled more than 3 hours.

Two trains scheduled to leave early in the morning were cancelled on Tuesday, owing to thick blanket of fog across northern plains, railway officials said.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded a minimum temperature at 10 degree Celsius, while maximum is expected to be 23 degree Celsius and shallow fog is expected.
