Literary week at Sadhu Vaswani Intl Girls School

Sadhu Vaswani International Girls School, Anand Niketan celebrated Literary Week which commenced with various fun-filled and challenging activities — such as a literary quiz, Spell Well, Colour Idioms among others.

Sadhu Vaswani International Girls School, Anand Niketan celebrated Literary Week which commenced with various fun-filled and challenging activities — such as a literary quiz, Spell Well, Colour Idioms among others — that provided a common platform for students to put forward their views on a variety of researched topics and keep a hand on the pulse of literary progress. The event included a play ‘The Rise and fall’ depicting the different characters from Shakespeare’s plays. A brief presentation on the world of mythology highlighted women of substance from Greek, Roman and Indian mythology.

Eleven students along with two teachers from Delhi Public School International, Pushp Vihar, visited Space Centre, Houston was for their ‘Space School Programme’. The week long Space School programme simulated an engineering mission. They participated in a number of competitions throu-ghout the week which included making presentations, quizzes, lofting and launching a rocket. The programme ended with the graduation ceremony where the team comprising of Zainab Rauf and Ankita Aggarwal won gold medals. The team also met Dr. Satish Reddy, an Indian from IIT who is currently the chief engineer for the Design and Analysis Group. Students learnt about the next generation Space Suits that future astronauts will wear on their next expeditions to Moon and Mars.

Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar inaugurated a technical English laboratory which includes a projector screen attached to a laptop, a television screen, 50 headphones, 25 electronic devices, all of which are controlled and managed by an electronic gadget handled by the concerned teacher. The inauguration of the English lab was done by Chairman, G.C. Lagan, along with the Principal, B.B. Gupta, Vice Principal, Dr. Neeru Joshi, Head Mistress, Kavita Mehrotra, Lab Incharges, Vividh Gupta and Pooja Rani and other teachers of English Department. The event was followed by an audio visual presentation and a movie.
