Disapproving of the verdict, the Munnetra Munnani (MMM) today said the court verdict would have serious "spin-off" effect on "social discipline".

Homosexuality would never be tolerated in a country which has honoured culture and tradition, said Mohammed Annas, the president of the organisation.

He called upon all members of the society to come under one umbrella and voice their protest against the verdict.
