A 35-year-old man was found murdered in mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in northeast Delhi on Sunday, police said. HT reports.

A 35-year-old man was found murdered in mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in northeast Delhi on Sunday, police said.

The victim, whose identity couldn't be established, was found dead at a house located in the Sunder Nagari area around nine am when neighbours complained of foul smell emanating from the single room.

"His neighbours did not know much about the victim as he had recently taken up the accommodation. They said another man used to stay with him. He has been missing for some days," an officer said.

Police said the victim's body was sent to GTB Hospital for a post-mortem examination and efforts were under way to establish his identity.

In another incident, a 60-year-old man, allegedly with a history of heart ailment, died during a heated argument with his neighbour over the issue of an under-construction road in northwest Delhi's Narela.

"On the evening of December 14, we received a call stating that neighbours were quarrelling over some issue. One of them was the victim, later identified as Bijender," said an officer.

"Since he did not have any external injuries, his post-mortem examination was conducted with the permission of his family and revealed that he had died due to a heart attack. His heart piece and viscera have been preserved just in case and investigations are under way," the officer added.
