Man held for killing friend

A 25-year-old man, who allegedly killed his friend after an argument over which car was better on February 26 in northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar, was arrested from Bihar, police said on Monday. HT reports.

A 25-year-old man, who allegedly killed his friend after an argument over which car was better on February 26 in northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar, was arrested from Bihar, police said on Monday.

Abhijeet Sinha, who hails from Bihar and was looking for employment after completing a course in Animation and Designing from an institute in South Extension, was arrested from Motihari on Sunday for killing his friend Aashish, Romil Baaniya, additional DCP (northwest) said.

“While Aashish was insisting that Mahindra’s recently launched XUV 500 was a better car, Abhijeet was in favour of the Reva (a battery-operated vehicle from the same company). Their argument turned violent and finally ended with the death of the former,” said additional DCP Baaniya said.
