Manu Sharma may get conditional parole

But only on an undertaking that he would not leave limits of Karnal and Ambala where the two key ceremonies are scheduled to be held. This is the condition imposed by the Delhi Police before the Delhi high court.

Police counsel Pawan Sharma had earlier opposed the parole plea in view of his earlier bad conduct while released on parole two years ago.

Manu, released on parole from Tihar Jail on September 22, 2009 to be with his sick mother, was spotted in a discotheque of a hotel in the Capital and was involved in a brawl on the night of November 6 after an extension of his parole.

Following an uproar during which the state government came under severe criticism, he was forced to put an early end to his parole, surrender and return to the Tihar Jail four days later.
