The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday further intensified its drive against illegal and unauthorised construction and took action against four properties in central zone and six in civil lines zones.

The building department of MCD’s central zone demolished illegal portions of third/second floors of four houses in Tughlakabad Extension. Similar action of demolition of illegal portions of ground/first/third floors of six properties were carried out in Harit Vihar, Adarsh Nagar, Subzi Mandi and Mukherjee Nagar in civil lines zone, MCD officials said.
The civic body has been carrying out demolition action against unauthorised construction across the city and has pulled down portions constructed in illegal manner for more than 100 properties during March and April till date.
The pace of demolition action is expected to accelerate.
