Soon students of MCD schools will get lessons on moral science through films. The education department of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is planning to show the students short documentary movies on freedom fighters and poets to make learning more enjoyable.
A proposal in this regard has been prepared by the education department and sent to MCD’s standing committee. Once approved, the schools will start showing these short documentaries on CDs from January 2011.
"Children learn more through TV these days. Whatever they see on TV they want to emulate that. Taking a cue from this, we have decided to show video films to students on our freedom fighters, poets and intellectuals on computers," said Mahender Nagpal, chairman of the MCD's education committee.
