Thousands of Metro commuters were caught in a spot of bother during the morning peak hour on Friday because of a fault in Lines 3 and 4 between Dwarka and Noida and Vaishali.

The glitch in the overhead electrification system (which transmits electricity to the trains) near Janakpuri West station at 9.15am was repaired around 90 minutes later.
“During the repairs, we had to run trains at 25km per hour on the stretch leading towards Dwarka. This caused bunching of trains on the both lines,” said a Metro spokesperson.
