Metro service gears up for Rakhi rush

Like every year, this year, too, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will run 187 additional trips on Rakhi. HT reports.

Like every year, this year, too, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will run 187 additional trips on Rakhi.

Trains will run at peak-hour frequency from 8 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Also, 21 trains, which are normally withdrawn during the lean hours between 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., will be kept in service. Trains will make a total of 2,484 trips on Tuesday.

DMRC will also deploy more customer facilitation agents to help commuters. Additional manpower will be deployed at stations along most lines including at Pitampura, Rithala, Shahdara, Shastri Park, Jahangir Puri, Seelampur, GTB Nagar, Yamuna Bank, Uttam Nagar East, Nawada, Noida City Centre, Botanical Garden, Noida Sec-18, Peeragarhi, Nangloi and Mundka, DMRC officials said.
