Mittal held for harbouring Bunty

The two gangsters were killed in an encounter in Saurabh Vihar area of Badarpur earlier this week.

Mittal was lodged in Tihar jail on charges of giving a contract of Rs 10 lakh to eliminate his brother-in-law Arun Gupta and sister Sadhana.

Earlier, the police had arrested Raghav Verma, a cook working for Mittal, for harbouring Bunty and Rajesh Sharma.

“We had taken Mittal on one-day remand and questioned him about his links with Bunty. He admitted that he had approached Bunty through his employee Raghav Verma in January to eliminate his sister Sadhana and brother-in-law Arun Gupta,” said a senior police officer.

After questioning him for more than three hours, police slapped an additional charge of harbouring a criminal on Mittal. In January the plan could not materialise, as Bunty did not having enough ammunition.

“Raghav approached Mittal in Tihar Jail in April and told him that Bunty has enough arms and he could carry on the unfinished task of eliminating Sadhana,” said the officer.
