“We will hear people rather than just suits,” was one of the first comments on Planning Commission webpage on social networking site Facebook. Another said “at least people’s voice would be heard.”

Commission deputy chairperson Montek Singh Ahluwalia, who has been accused of being an arm-chair advisor, on Wednesday launched the webpage and interactive website on the 12th five year plan, for which comments are being sought.
“We can’t have people like Bill Gates in all our committees. But, he can be out there among million Indians and we don’t want to miss his suggestion,” Ahluwalia said.
He asked people to come up with suggestions on any issue including corruption or malnutrition and assured that all views will be taken into account while framing the approach paper for the 12th plan, to be ready within a year.
”All views may not get reflect in the approach paper but we will consider them all,” he said.
The commission will also be holding consultations in rural India where internet connectivity is very poor.
