MTNL scheme offers discount to customers

The Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has announced an amnesty scheme to recover outstanding bills from its subscribers. It feels the scheme will also help it woo its old customers.

The Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has announced an amnesty scheme to recover outstanding bills from its subscribers. It feels the scheme will also help it woo its old customers.

As per the scheme, discounts will be offered to customers on outstanding bills.

For outstanding amount before March 31, 2002, 50% discount will be given. For the outstanding amount due from April 1, 2002, to March 31, 2004, 40% discount will be offered.

The scheme ends on February 29.
