To ensure preparedness during chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) attacks, south district’s Hauz Khas police station underwent a two-day training module designed in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).

The 14-hour workshop was held under the guidance of Major General (Dr.) JK Bansal, VSM, Chikitsa Ratan (Rtd), Member NDMA, at Laxman Public School on July 13 and 14.
The training was attended by 97 police personnel posted at the south District and included 41 constables, 18 head constables, four ASIs, nine Sub-Inspectors, 13 Inspectors, two ACPs, and 10 women constables.
“The programme highlighted the emerging CBRN security concern and importance of specialised training. Training was imparted on various subject matters by the specialists from NDMA, army, IAF, Defence Research & Development Establishment, Gwalior, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi and JPN Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS,” said a police officer.
